Sydney developer Bathla Group went into voluntary administration on 25 August 2026 with about $3.2 billion in liabilities, most of it owed to private credit funds rather than the major banks. In the same week, Cotality data showed national home values falling for a fifth straight month, with 93% of capital city suburbs declining through winter.
