Big changes in China good for silver

China’s leaders have announced that the Environmental Sector will now rank as an official “Key Industry” which sees focussed Government stimulus through tax breaks and direct subsidies.  This puts it alongside the Steel, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.  Why is this good for silver?  As we’ve reported earlier silver is an essential component of solar power generation which is a key part of the Environmental push.  Don’t forget too that silver is also an essential element for Biotechnology uses in health, another Key Industry.  This coincides with more news of reduced supply with the worlds largest producer declaring they were down 17% for the first half of 2013.
