1oz Gold Coin 2026 Chinese Myths and Legends - Double Phoenix - Perth Mint

AINSLIE EXCLUSIVE

The Perth Mint is please to present Chinese Myths & Legends - Double Phoenix 2026 1oz Gold Bullion Coin.

According to traditional Chinese culture, the phoenix is celebrated as a timeless emblem of happiness and harmony. Rarely glimpsed, its appearance is believed to bring great prosperity to those fortunate enough to witness it. The magnificent imagery of two phoenixes appearing together serves as a profound symbol of unity and balance, beautifully reflecting the proverb, “Good things come in pairs.”

This beautifully crafted gold coin portrays two crested birds gazing at one another with affection. Often referred to as 'Luan and Feng' or 'Double Phoenix', these figures represent the harmonious love between spouses. Included in the design is the symbol of double happiness in Chinese character (?), stylised representations of clouds, along with the 2026 year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The coin’s obverse portrays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the coin’s weight, purity, and monetary denomination.

The coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.

For additional peace of mind, the coin incorporates an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Detectable under a magnifying glass, it is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.
