The Perth Mint is delighted to present the Australian Swan 2026 1oz Gold Bullion Coin.
Swans are commonly seen in wetlands, river estuaries, bays and great lakes throughout Australia, from the east
to west coast. Where wetlands areas are permanent, the swans are thought to be sedentary. However, if the
wetlands dry out, they are capable of taking flight in search of suitable habitat. They have been sighted in semi
arid region including Central Australia, where there are semi-permanent and permanent waterholes.
The Australian Swan is a limited mintage bullion coin series featuring elegant designs of the waterbird that glides
majestically across the estuaries, inlets and rivers in which it lives and breeds. The 2026 coin features the tenth
design from this popular series which continues to boast a strong track record of sell outs.
The coin’s reverse depicts a magnificent swan soaring above a picturesque lake set amongst a tranquil
countryside. Behind the swan, a brilliant sky stretches across the horizon with drifting clouds. Also included in the
design is the inscription ‘2026 1oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN GOLD SWAN’ and a ‘P10’ mintmark, signifying the tenth
anniversary of the swan design released by The Perth Mint.
The coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
For additional peace of mind, the coin incorporates an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser
engraved letter. Detectable under a magnifying glass, it is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the
coin to be counterfeited.
